San Blas

Today we left Mazatlan in convoy (with Harley outriders). Sam, Rita, Eric and Kathy accompanied us until lunchtime and then we were two again. Big hugs and thanks to the residents of Las Jaibas RV Park for all their kindness. We will always have fond memories of our time in Mazatlan and our new friends there.

We had a beautiful ride through wetlands and small shrimping towns with many roadside stalls selling sun-dried shrimps. As we approached San Blas the scenery became more mountainous and the vegetation became lush, dense and tropical. Now we are camping in amongst the palm trees, right on the beach at Stoner’s Surf Camp here in San Blas. (We changed our minds at the last minute about going directly to Guadalajara, so we are now aiming towards Manzanillo, via Puerto Vallarta.)
