Treasures from Tegucigalpa

honduras 018
Celebrating in our hotel room

Yeah, OK, so I haven’t quite got the knack of lining up a timed photo! But look at all the treasures we have collected in Tegus. There’s 10W-40 oil (very rare), Yamaha oil filters (not seen since Arizona), a centre punch for my wheel bearings (ask Mark), chain lube (always buy it when you see it) and most important of all… yes that really is a British passport, and it’s got my name on it. The cream cover is because I’m special (obviously!)

A huge thank you to the wonderful man at the British Consulate (you know who you are!) who truly went to incredible lengths to make this possible. He managed to transform what could have been a pretty stressful situation into a calm and actually quite pleasant experience.

However we’re not quite free to leave Tegus yet. There is the small matter of our replacement credit cards, which should’ve been with us before the weekend. (The bank blocked the old ones for no apparent reason). DHL say they are ‘in the area’ - whatever that means – and they should be delivered to the hotel tomorrow (Wed, 02/03/11).
